Georgia Society of CPA's Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants
The Educational Foundation of The Georgia Society of CPAs, Inc. sponsors scholarship programs that provide financial support to accounting majors and those with a concentration in accounting. Students who meet the eligibility requirements listed below are encouraged to apply. All scholarships awarded are to be used for the following school year.
Recipients will be named in March/April 2025 and will receive a check, payable to his/her school after verification of enrollment for the following semester. Checks are generally mailed in May. Scholarship monies are to be used for the fall 2025, spring 2026, and/or summer 2026 semesters and cannot be used for any type of reimbursement. Monies may be used in full for one semester or spilt over those previously listed. This is one time payment. Recipients and their institutions will be notified of award in March, so that students may be recognized at any honors or awards programs.

Application Directions: Applicants must mail or electronically submit the following documentation to GSCPA: by February 1, 2025 no later than 11:59 PM EST in its entirety, including all written components and supplemental information. A student may save his/her application and make changes up to the deadline.
*Note: Only complete applications will be reviewed. Incomplete applications will not be considered. This includes applications without transcripts.
Applicants must mail or electronically submit the following documentation to GSCPA:
A sealed transcript obtained directly from your school's Registrar's Office for your current school and any other college or university you have attended showing your last three years of higher education, including your Fall 2024 grades
OR
An electronic transcript issued directly from your school's Registrar's Office for your current school and any other college or university you have attended showing your last three years of higher education, including your Fall 2024 grades
Requirements
An eligible applicant must:
- Demonstrate commitment to pursuing a CPA license;
- Be a resident of the state of Georgia;
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible Permanent Resident Alien;
- Intend to remain a resident of the state of Georgia;
- Be a rising junior or senior undergraduate accounting major or person having a concentration in Accounting or a graduate student enrolled in a masters' level accounting or business administration program at a public or private college or university accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools;
- Be enrolled in a minimum of six semester hours (ten quarter hours) beyond the sophomore level during the period scholarship funds are to be used;
- Maintain an overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) OR an accounting GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
