Supporting gender equity includes helping women afford the rising costs of higher education. In 2024, AAUW-SJ awarded more than $150,000 in scholarship funds to 19 local students.
Eligibility
- Must have a permanent residence in Campbell, San José, Milpitas, or Santa Clara
- Have completed at least two full years at an accredited college or university
- Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA in college coursework
- Be enrolled in a four-year institution as a junior or senior
Selection criteria
- Clarity of educational goals
- Evidence of academic accomplishment
- A personal statement
- An interview with the selection committee
- Submission of a letter of recommendation
