LaVelle Mullennex Memorial Scholarship

Introduction
The LaVelle Mullennex Memorial Scholarship was created to honor one of the founders of NALS of Oregon and her commitment to excellence in legal education. It provides financial awards to students who are preparing for careers as non-attorney legal support professionals.
Who is eligible
The scholarship is intended for students pursuing education or training for roles that support attorneys, including (but not limited to) legal secretaries, legal assistants, paralegals, law office administrative staff, court reporters, and court personnel.
Applications and award timing
Fund, Inc. continually accepts applications from eligible students throughout the year. Recipients are selected once annually, with scholarships distributed each August.
Award amount and selection
Typically, $1,000 is available for student scholarships. The final number of awards and the amount granted for each will be determined annually based on the applicant pool and decisions made according to eligibility, merit, financial need, and ability.
