Available Scholarships (each $2,500)
- Bill Cowles Scholarship (one award)
Named for Bill Cowles of Lilburn, a long-time Georgia PGA volunteer since 2002 who has supported roughly 20 professional and Junior Tour events annually. Bill has contributed to the Georgia PGA Junior Tour across its 22-year history and was named an Honorary Lifetime Member in 2016. He values the personal development junior golfers gain from competition — sportsmanship, integrity, self-discipline, perseverance and grace in defeat — skills he believes serve students well in college and beyond.
- Chuck Edmonson Scholarship (one award)
Honoring Chuck Edmonson of Suwanee, a volunteer with the Georgia PGA since 2000 who has assisted at about 20 pro and Junior Tour events each year and contributed to over 100 tournaments across the Junior Tour’s history. An Honorary Lifetime Member since 2016, Chuck enjoys following young golfers as they mature and pursue college careers. He notes that the Rules of Golf, like the rules of life, evolve and require adaptation — a lesson he values as a Rules Official.
- Stubbs Family Scholarship (one award)
Established to honor Richard Stubbs, a devoted supporter of junior golf and the Georgia PGA. This award is intended for applicants who are employees of, or dependent children of employees at, a golf facility located within the Georgia PGA territory and served by a Georgia PGA professional. Eligible applicants must be currently enrolled in a college or university. Preference is given to students who compete on collegiate golf teams, but playing on a college team is not required.
- Haskins Foundation Scholarship (one award)
Offered in partnership with the Haskins Foundation, which promotes collegiate golf and carries forward the mission of the Fred Haskins Commission. (The Foundation helped add the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifle in 2014.) Eligibility requires applicants to have been Georgia PGA Junior Tour members at some time between 2018 and 2022 and to be currently enrolled in a college or university. Preference is given to those active on collegiate golf teams, though team participation is not mandatory.
