Overview
For 2026 we will award twenty (20) scholarships, each valued at $2,000.
Who is eligible
- Applicants must be high school seniors.
- Eligibility requires that the student is either an active-duty First Responder themself or the child of an active-duty First Responder. Volunteer and paid First Responders are both acceptable.
- Students whose parent is retired or permanently disabled are not eligible.
What we consider a First Responder
A First Responder includes individuals who perform emergency or law-enforcement duties such as:
- personnel with arrest authority;
- ambulance or rescue crew members who provide direct aid;
- EMTs and Paramedics;
- Firefighters;
- Police officers and Sheriff's Office personnel;
- Game Wardens and Border Patrol agents;
- Park Rangers and Marshals;
- Correctional Officers;
- dispatchers serving any of the above roles.
These positions may be either paid or volunteer.
