OSAC Scholarships

Scholarship Sponsored by Oregon Student Aid

Value: $10,000.00
Awards Available: 600
Deadline : Mar 02, 2026

Overview
The OSAC Scholarship Application lets current and prospective Oregon students submit a single application to be considered for many awards at once. Each year OSAC distributes more than $10 million through over 600 individual scholarships.

Important dates
The 2026–27 OSAC Scholarship Application is now open. Submit by the Early-Bird deadline: February 17, 2026. The final cutoff is March 2, 2026. Both deadlines close at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

Where awards can be used
Scholarship funds are intended for use at U.S. colleges and universities that participate in Title IV federal student aid programs. (Note: U.S. military academies are not eligible institutions for OSAC awards.)

General eligibility (unless an individual scholarship lists different criteria)
- Be a U.S. citizen or an eligible noncitizen who is in the United States for a purpose other than temporary and who intends to become a U.S. permanent resident.
- Be classified as an Oregon resident. Residency may be established in any of the following ways:
- An independent student — or the parents of a dependent student — has lived continuously in Oregon for at least 12 months.
- The student has been continuously enrolled and completed an academic year at an Oregon high school or postsecondary institution within any 12-month period.
- An independent student — or the parent(s) of a dependent student — on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces lists Oregon as their “home of record.”
- Enrolled members of federally recognized Oregon tribes, or enrolled members of federally recognized tribes whose traditional or reserved lands included parts of Oregon (or who ceded lands within Oregon), are considered Oregon residents for OSAC purposes regardless of their current state of residence. For a full list of tribes that qualify for resident classification, see the OSAC website.
- Be a graduating high school student in the current academic year, or a GED® or home-schooled graduate, or be a first-time college freshman, undergraduate, or graduate student.
- Not owe a refund on any educational grant and not be in default on any student loans.

If a scholarship’s individual description contains different or additional requirements, those specific rules will take precedence. For complete details and the tribe eligibility list, visit the OSAC website.
