Overview
The Trotter Project scholarship is open to high school seniors and to students who are either entering or currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in the United States for the upcoming academic year. There are no age limits—candidates may apply at any stage of their education.
We are proud to invest in promising students and eager to see how recipients will impact the foodservice and hospitality fields. Best wishes to everyone who applies!
Application period for the 2026 academic year: February 15, 2026 through May 15, 2026.
Eligibility requirements
- Minimum unweighted GPA: 2.5
- Status: high school senior, incoming college student, or current college student
- Enrollment: must be attending or planning to attend an accredited U.S. college or university
- Complete the full online application (use the application form below)
Required application materials (all pieces must be included)
1. Resume — highlight community service, work experience, and internships.
2. Transcript — showing cumulative GPA; include weighted and/or unweighted GPA as applicable.
3. Letter of recommendation — from someone able to speak to your academic accomplishments and/or character.
4. Current college students only — documentation from your institution showing a remaining balance or demonstrating financial need.
5. Video — a personal video (up to 3 minutes) describing how you pursue excellence and explaining your interest in culinary arts/baking & pastry, hospitality management, or food science/agriculture. Use this to share your passion, creativity, commitment, and any qualities you want the selection committee to know.
Submission deadline
All application materials must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CST on May 15, 2026.
Reapplying
Previous Trotter Project scholarship recipients are welcome to submit new applications for consideration.
