Oregon 4-H Foundation Scholarships

Scholarship Sponsored by Oregon 4-H Foundation

Value: $5,000.00
Awards Available: 18
Deadline : Mar 01, 2026

Overview
Oregon 4-H offers statewide scholarships for eligible 4-H members planning to continue their education. These awards are funded largely by donors who support 4-H and Oregon State University; some scholarships are limited to applicants who are current or future OSU students. Each individual scholarship carries its own eligibility rules set by the donor.

Who is eligible
- Currently enrolled in Oregon 4-H.
- Minimum of three years of 4-H membership (this total may include the current year and does not need to be consecutive).
- High school senior (Spring 2026 awards are for students graduating in 2026).
- Plans to enroll in an accredited two‑year or four‑year college program.
- High school cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Required application components
All applications must be submitted using the online Qualtrics form (use the submission button/link provided). If you cannot use the online form, contact your county Extension office to request assistance or an accommodation.

Applications must be uploaded as PDF(s) in the following order:
1. My 4‑H Story — a written essay or video describing your 4‑H experience.
2. My 4‑H Resume — a complete record of your 4‑H career (participation, leadership, service, awards, and contributions) and relevant activities outside 4‑H, including the current 2025–2026 year.
3. Copy of high school transcript — an unofficial copy is acceptable; it does not need to be certified.
4. Copy of SAT or ACT scores — optional.

Evaluation criteria
Selection is weighted primarily toward your 4‑H involvement and records:
- My 4‑H Resume: 55%
- My 4‑H Story: 35%
- Academic achievement: 10%

Deadlines and local procedures
- State office deadline: all scholarship applications must be submitted to the state office by March 1.
- County requirements: check with your county Extension office — some counties require you to submit materials to the county office before you submit online.
- Get feedback: contact your county 4‑H Program Coordinator or ask a 4‑H volunteer/office staff to review your materials before submission to confirm completeness and to help identify scholarships for which you qualify. Reach out well before March 1 if you want feedback.

A note about recordkeeping
Keeping thorough records throughout your 4‑H career is important — your 4‑H Resume and Story are central to these scholarships, and good recordkeeping helps you present your achievements and impact clearly.
