Overview
The Warren County Fair Scholarships provide financial assistance to graduating seniors from Warren County who have been active in local 4-H or FFA programs. Awards are funded by local sponsors and intended to help students beginning post-secondary study.

Award
- $500.00 scholarships
Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Be a high school senior enrolled at a Warren County high school
- Live in Warren County
- Be a member of Warren County 4-H or FFA
- Plan to begin at least a two-year post-secondary program or a longer program (community college, technical school, or four-year college/university)
- Family members of the Warren County Fair Board are allowed to apply
How applications are evaluated (points)
- Overall application quality (grammar, spelling, completeness): 10 points
- Field of study (clarity of planned studies): 5 points
- Extra-curricular involvement during high school: 5 points
- Responses to Questions 1–5 (quality of each answer): 10 points each
- Two letters of recommendation: 5 points each
Application and submission instructions
- Deadline: Applications must be submitted by March 1st.

- Typed applications are preferred but not required.

Letters of recommendation
- Attach two letters of recommendation. Acceptable references include a teacher, 4-H or FFA leader, minister, or similar adult mentor.
Notification, recognition, and award disbursement
- Scholarship recipients will be notified by mail and invited to attend the Pre-Fair Picnic for recognition.
- On November 1st a letter will be mailed to the winner requesting the information needed to issue the scholarship payment for the second semester of enrollment.
- Once the requested information is received in the Fair office, the scholarship check will be sent directly to the recipient’s school.
Other
- The scholarship committee reserves the right to withhold awards if deemed appropriate.
