Ottawa County Farm Bureau awards two $1,000 scholarships each year to support students pursuing careers in agriculture. Below are the qualifications, how to apply, and the conditions for receiving the award.
Eligibility
- Applicant must be a dependent of a current Ottawa County Farm Bureau regular member. If the applicant is married or at least 21 years old, the applicant must hold an Ottawa County Farm Bureau membership in their own name.
- Minimum scholastic GPA: 2.75.
- Must be accepted to or enrolled in an accredited school in a program related to agriculture.
How to Apply
- Deliver your completed application to the Ottawa County Farm Bureau office by April 1.
- Awardees will be informed by April 30.
Award Payment and Requirements
- Scholarships ($1,000 each) will be used for or reimbursed toward tuition expenses.
- After notification, recipients must maintain a 2.75 GPA for the fall semester to remain eligible for payment.
- Submit an official transcript for verification; scholarship payment will be issued directly to the student.
Purpose and Selection
- These scholarships are intended to encourage and support students preparing for careers in agriculture.
- Final selection is at the discretion of the Ottawa County Farm Bureau Board of Directors.
