Frank Strickland Scholarship will be presented to an entering freshman or rising sophomore from a tobacco-producing county who plans to attend ABAC fall semester. The scholarship will be paid at the beginning of the fall semester by the ABAC Foundation.

A native of Lanier County, Strickland graduated from Lakeland High School and ABAC.  After college, he returned home and took over the family farm at the age of 19.  He raised his family on the 450-acre farm that had been in his family for over 100 years.  The ABAC Alumni Association awarded Strickland the Master Farmer in 1975.  His son, Ben F. Strickland, Jr., was named Master Farmer in 1996, making them the only father/son recipients of this award.
