Georgetown County Farm Bureau Scholarship
Overview
Each year the Georgetown County Farm Bureau may award up to three scholarships of $1,000 each to qualifying graduating seniors from the Georgetown County School District who plan to pursue further education in agriculture or an agriculture-related field.
Eligibility
- Applicant must be a graduating senior in the Georgetown County School District.
- The student must have been accepted to and intend to enroll in an agricultural or agriculture-related program at a postsecondary institution.
- A parent or guardian of the applicant must be an active, good-standing member of the Georgetown County Farm Bureau.
Award details
- Scholarship amount: $1,000 per recipient.
- Awards are one-time payments.
- Preference is given to students entering college as first-year freshmen. If no eligible freshman applicants are available, upperclassmen may be considered.
How to apply and deadline
- Application forms are available at the Georgetown County Farm Bureau office, on the Georgetown County Farm Bureau website, and in the guidance offices of each Georgetown County high school.
- Completed applications must be received at the county office by April 15.
