Intro The Navy Seabee Foundation awards scholarships to students pursuing accredited two-year and four-year degrees, as well as career and technical education programs. Awards are available only to the children and grandchildren of personnel who served with the Naval Construction Force, including Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) officers. The 2026 Scholarship Application is now open. Who may apply Eligible applicants must be the child or grandchild of a qualifying sponsor who served with the Naval Construction Force. Qualifying sponsors include: - Enlisted personnel who held a Seabee rating - Officers of the Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) - Service members from other branches who were assigned to a Naval Construction Force unit The program covers dependents of Seabees in active duty, reserve, retired status, or those honorably discharged. Applicants must be high school seniors or first-time college freshmen and must be under 23 years old at the time of application. Note on step-relations Step-children and step-grandchildren may need to supply extra proof of relationship to the qualifying military parent, such as a tax record or marriage certificate. Types and amounts of scholarships The Foundation provides scholarships for: - Four-year degree programs - Two-year degree programs - Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs For the 2025–2026 academic year, award amounts range from $2,000 to $6,300. How recipients are chosen Selections are based on: - Demonstrated financial need as determined by FAFSA - Academic performance (minimum unweighted GPA of 2.5) - A complete application packet, including a letter of recommendation, an essay, and a summary of extracurricular activities and work experience Contact the Navy Seabee Foundation or consult the official application materials for deadlines, submission instructions, and any additional documentation requirements.
