Introduction
The Linda Craig Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the memory of Linda Lorraine Sharvelle Craig by David Craig (former Indiana Pacers athletic trainer and team administrator) and Dr. John Abrams. The award is funded by individuals who wish to commemorate Linda and sustain her legacy. Each year three scholarships of $2,500 each are granted for use at an accredited Indiana institution — either a four-year college or university or a two-year junior/community college.
Eligibility and Use of Funds
- Three recipients are chosen annually.
- Each scholarship is $2,500.
- Awards must be applied toward attendance at an accredited Indiana four-year college or university, or an accredited two-year junior or community college.
Application requirements
Applicants must:
- Complete the general application questions.
- Submit a comprehensive personal statement.
- Upload a current college transcript.
- Provide a letter of recommendation from a professor in the applicant’s major.

- Fill out and submit the scholarship form (Complete & Submit Form).
If selected
Students awarded the Linda Craig Memorial Scholarship must supply the Pacers Foundation with their student ID number and the bursar’s office contact information for their chosen school (mailing address and phone number). Scholarship funds are disbursed directly to the institution and applied to the student’s tuition account; awards are not paid directly to the student. Checks are mailed in August.
