Intro
The Treacy Foundation offers need-based scholarships for Montana residents who are entering college as freshmen or sophomores and who have accumulated no more than 60 college degree credits. Awards are intended for students beginning their undergraduate studies (not for trade schools or for juniors, seniors, or graduate students).
Award details
- Amount: $3,500.00 per year.
- Renewal: The scholarship may be renewed for up to three additional years (a maximum of four years total) if the recipient requests renewal each year.
- School choice: Recipients may use the award at any accredited college or university of their choosing.
Selection process
Applications are evaluated by the Treacy Scholarship Selection Committee. Applicants will be informed whether they have been selected.
New awards vs. renewals
Priority is given to current Treacy scholars who request renewal, so the number of new scholarships available each year is limited.
Renewal procedure
- Renewal requests must be submitted between January 1 and May 1 each year by mail or email to the Foundation.
- Include your student ID number and the name of the school you will attend.
- Renewal requests received after May 1 will be placed on a waiting list.
