Introduction
The American Indian Education Fund (AIEF) was created to expand educational access for American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian learners. Our goal is to foster strong, self-sufficient American Indian communities. Scholarship awards are determined by a national selection committee, which reviews and decides based on an overall evaluation of each completed application.
Applicant Eligibility
- Must be American Indian, Alaska Native, or Native Hawaiian; the applicant or at least one parent must be an enrolled member and able to provide documentation.
- Planning to attend an accredited two-year or four-year college/university, or an accredited technical/vocational school for the Fall term.
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student.
- A GPA in the 2.0–3.5 range is preferred, but all current or prospective undergraduate students are encouraged to apply.
- An ACT score of 14 or higher is desirable.
- Applicants attending exclusively online institutions or enrolling only in summer programs are not eligible.
